This pour in Gold, Red, and Black was created to explore the relationship between these colors. On one hand, elegant, majestic and decorative, on the other hand Powerful, strong, almost violent (not in the hurting way, but in the eruptive, explosive way). Here, I did not use a large amount of silicon and olive in the pour mix so that less cells are created and more flow and streams of color dominate the picture. The little bit of linseed oil I did put in was enough to separate the white and create some distinct cells. The pour was made on two layers of paper to create a slight 3D effect. If one looks at this acrylic pour, a winged creature emerges in the middle of the painting. I see a phoenix ascending from the fire which was the intention of this pour.
