"The canvas derives from a series of ink studies carried out during the winter / spring 2020 lockdown period spent in the family.
Depicts an aerial battle against the covid, imagined as flying Saint George on a steed in the shape of a cicada or flying insect, over a biblical landscape, apocalyptic as in the times of Sodom, Gomorrah or Babylon,
Changing the pandemic situation for the better I lit up the sky and I didn't burn Sodom and Gormorrah and I didn't bring down the tower of babel in the painting.
By "in the German way" I mean the way in which I painted and illuminated the picture, thinking about the battle of the 10,000 knights of Altdorfer and many other excellent German painters, who have always accompanied me with their images"
